Borpure HDPE Injection grades
BorPure grades are made with our proprietary Borstar multimodal technology, which allows for superior Environmental Stress Crack Resistance (ESCR) and productivity advantages. Superior ESCR of Borouge over unimodal grades gives convertors and brand owners opportunity for making their product lighter especially with carbonated beverages. On the productivity front, at an MFR of 1.5 g/10 min (190°C), Borpure materials show the same fluidity as a MFR 4 unimodal material. In injection moulding, this fluidity allows for a reduction in injection pressure, creating energy savings of up to 10%.
BorPure MB6561 and BorPure MB6562
BorPure MB6561 and BorPure MB6562 are high density polyethylenes (HDPE) that improve processability and allow for the light-weighting of closures to enable material reduction and cost optimisation. Their excellent organoleptic performance ensures the preservation of the product’s natural taste.
BorPure MB6561 is designed for screw caps for still water, tea and juice. BorPure MB6562 is formulated for controlled opening and closing of carbonated soft drinks and sweetened beverages.
BD950MO is a stiff and impact resistant polypropylene (PP) heterophasic copolymer, based on the proprietary Borstar Nucleation Technology (BNT). It is designed for water and carbonated soft drinks caps and can be processed by both compression and injection moulding. In addition to its outstanding mechanical properties and very low stress whitening, it also offers exceptional dimensional consistency regardless of colour pigments, and considerable potential for cycle time and weight reduction.
HG385MO is a polypropylene (PP) homopolymer with MFR 25, also based on the proprietary Borstar Nucleation Technology (BNT). It was specifically developed for the injection moulding of different customised caps and has the following features:
